Sanyo Europe today released two new compact digital cameras. Dubbed as the 12MP S1275 and the 10MP E1090, both cameras feature a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, and SDHC cards support (up to 16GB). The S1275 utilities two AA batteries, meanwhile the E1090 uses a lithium-ion battery. The 12MP S1275 and the 10MP E1090 will be available in early August for $152 and $166, respectively. [dcviews]

Hammacher Schelmmer has unveiled the Only 3D webcam that is armed with dual cameras. It can record a stereoscopic video similar to what is being used in 3D movies. The produced video is compatible with most Internet messaging services. This new 3D camera is compatible with most PCs via the traditional USB support and can be used as a normal webcam. Priced at $99.95, the Only 3D Web Camera can capture videos at 800 x 600 resolution at 15 frames per second. It can also focus in up to 12-inch away for dramatic 3D images.
