New 10 Megapixel Nikon Digital SLR

Nikon with a shrewd marketing move has released a mysterious picture and almost no information about its forthcoming Digital SLR release. What we do know is that the camera will have a 10.2 megapixel sensor. Nikon also reveled that camera will provide more power, control and versatility to photographers. Look for the camera to be an upgrade of the popular consumer D70 and D50. More info on these when the info drops in august.

Panasonic newest digital camera, Lumix DMC-FX3, features new technology, which is called the Venus Engine III. This technology detects both chromatic and luminance noise separately, which enables the digital camera to shoot at ISO 800 in full resolution. DMC-FX3 features a 3x optical zoom, and 6MP of image with resolutions of 2816 x 1586 on 16:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, the camera allows you to choose the aspect ratio between 4:3 or 3:2. It can also record stunning full-size movies in wide-aspect VGA (848 x 480) @ 30 fps. The support file formats for still image is in JPEG or DPOF and movie file formats is in QuickTime Motion JPEG. This digital camera weighs 125 grams and measures 94.1 mm x 51.1 mm x 24.2 mm. It will be available from September for USD280.

The Special Effects Hot Key allows one access cool effects like B/W, sepia, blue, red, green or Negative, Highlight, Photo Frame and Composite Shot. Moreover, this camera has an internal memory of 16MB to store videos and pictures. The Samsung Digimax S700 will be available in August 2006 at a price of $249.99.

Sanyo introduced the Xacti CA6, which is a water-resistant digital camera. This 6 MP camera has camcorder capabilities, 5x optical zoom, and 12x digital zoom. Unfortunately, it has only 2-inch display screen and you can only capture 640 x 480 pixels MPEG movies. The Sanyo Xacti CA6’s price is US$400.
