Panasonic's Two New Digital Cameras

Panasonic released its two new 7.2MP digicam, the DMC-LZ6 and DMC-LZ7. The LZ6 has a 2-inch screen, while the LZ7 has larger a 2.5-inch screen. They both have 6x zoom and optical image stabilization. They both also feature Panasonic’s Venus Engine III, which allows these cameras to handle dark and low light shots. Both cameras will be available next month. The DMC-LZ6 and DMC-LZ7 will cost $179 and $199 respectively.

Canon's HV20 High-Def Camcorder

The new Canon HV20 camcorder is capable of recording 1080 high-def video in 16:9 format. The camcorder features a 10x optical zoom with a built-in image stabilizer, and a 3.1MP camera. Users also can hook up the HV20 to their HDTV via its HDMI output. It saves video to MiniDV tapes and saves pictures to miniSD cards. The Canon HV20’s price tag is expected at around $1,099.

The Samsung L74 is an entry-level camera that comes with a 3.6x optical zoom and 28mm wide-angle lens support. It also features the “Tour Guide” function which offers travel information that covers 4,500 regions in 30 countries. Other features include 450MB of internal memory, a 3 inch touchscreen LCD display, Samsung’s Face Recognition AF & AE, the proprietary ASR image stabilization system, and video capture capability. The Samsung L74 will be available in North America this spring for $349.99.

Samsung NV11 Camera

Another camera to be launched by some dudes at Samsung Korea is the NV11, which is actually an upgrade to the Samsung NV10. The camera features 10.1MP resolution, and has a 5x Schneider-Kreuznach optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD, ASR stabilization, and the ability to record 30fps VGA video in MPEG-4 format. Pricing is still unknown.

Casio Exilim Hi-ZOOM EX-V7 Digicam With H.264

Available in black and white, the Casio EXILIM Hi-ZOOM EX-V7 is a new 7.1MP camera with an image stabilizer on CCD, 11.6MB of internal memory, and supports SDHC. It is the first camera that can record videos in the MOV (QuickTime) format (WIDE HQ or UHQ in 848×480) with an H.264 codec. The Exilim Hi-ZOOM EX-V7 measures 99.5mm x 25.5mm x 59.8mm and weights 149grams. Pricing and availability have not been announced yet.
