
Sony today announced their three ultra-compact HDD camcorders DCR-SR47(60GB), DCR-SR67(80GB) and DCR-SR87(80GB) in South Korea. Weighing at just 300grams, the camera offers a 2.7-inch wide touch LCD with a 60x optical zoom lens, voice zoom, Quick Start-Up and editing function ‘eDeco’. The Sony DCR-SR47 is priced at 698,000 Won, while the Sony DCR-SR67 for 748,000 Won, and Sony DCR-SR87 for 798,000 Won. [DailyDigitals]

German based company Minox is popular in Japan for its tiny cameras. Komamura, the Japanese company which take cares of this product here in Japan, has announced the DSC (Digital Spy Camera) that features a 3.2MP sensor with 128MB of internal memory. Sony today unveiled the Cyber-shot DSC-G3 WiFi digital camera, which has features like a 10MP CMOS sensor with 4x optical zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 4 GB of internal storage and a 3.5-inch LCD screen. The G3 supports WiFi connectivity and comes with a Web browser. This camera also features Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Recognition, Smile Shutter and Dynamic Range Optimizer. Panasonic is pleased to introduce the new Lumix 12.1-megapixel DMC-FX40 with astonishing 25mm ultra-wide-angle LEICA DC lens and powerful 5x optical zoom. The FX40 also offers a new Face Recognition feature, an advanced Face Recognition function that recognizes individual faces, making it a kind of personal verification system in a camera. When a familiar face is recorded several times, the digital camera will prompt you to register the face.
