The Panasonic GF1 will be available in two new colors such as “blade” silver and “fairy’ pink. As a reminder, the Panasonic GF1 is able to record 1,280 x 720 High Definition video in AVCHD Lite format. There is also a special Movie Program Mode allowing you to adjust the depth-of-field while shooting in HD video. These new models will be available in the Japanese market on March 12, 2010. BenQ Adds A New Point-And-Shoot To Its Line-Up

Here’s the latest addition to BenQ’s point-and-shoot camera line-up, the E1240. Measuring just 18mm thick, this slim camera boasts a 12-megapixel 1/2.3 inch CCD image sensor, a 35-105mm lens with 3x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch LCD display with 2 LED modules for backlighting. Other advanced features include P/Av/Tv mode, Super Shake Free (S.S.F.), AF Area select, M-burst mode, Auto Panorama mode, Fish-Eye mode and HD video recording (1280 x 720p @ 20fps). Pentax Japan has announced that they will officially release the Pentax 645D camera at the upcoming Japanese CP+ industry trade show in March 2010. It is actually the company’s first true medium-format digital camera that would be compatible with the lenses developed for the film-based version.
