Samyang has recently introduced their upcoming manual focus lens for the Sony NEX-VG10 camcorder. Known as the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fish-Eye CS VG10 lens, this manual focus lens is said to feature “the same optical construction as the still photography version, but has been adapted for smoother focusing.” The lens itself is scheduled to make its official debut at the forthcoming Focus on Imaging fairs held in Birmingham. Mame Cam Tiny DSLR

The Mame Cam is a micro replica of a Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera. It is claimed to be the world’s smallest digital camera. The Mame Cam features a 2-megapixel sensor, allowing it to capture VGA quality videos and 1600 x 1200 resolution still pictures. In addition, the “Mame” means “pea” in Japanese. Canon has officially announced that certain Canon and Tamron lenses do not work fully with the Canon EOS 7D, EOS 60D, EOS 50D and EOS 40D. It was discovered that these Canon and Tamron lenses use the lens ID, which is not supported by Canon. The following Canon lenses are affected.

* Canon EF 35-80 mm 1:4-5,6
* Canon EF 35-80 mm 1:4-5,6 II
* Canon EF 35-80 mm 1:4-5,6 III
* Canon EF 35-80 mm 1:4-5,6 USM
* Canon EF 35-105 mm 1:4-5,6
* Canon EF 35-105 mm 1:4-5,6 USM
* Canon EF 80-200 mm 1:4,5-5,6 II
* Canon EF 80-200 mm 1:4,5-5,6 USM

The following Tamron lenses are affected.

* Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC
* Tamron 60 f/2 Macro
* Tamron 70-200 f/2.8
* Tamron 10-24 f/3.5-4.5
