Canon Releases Firmware Update For EOS Rebel XS/1000D

Canon has released a new firmware update version 1.0.6 for its EOS Rebel XS/1000D DSLR camera. The update “fixes a problem in which the LCD monitor does not display, the shutter does not release, and the busy indication remains lit in the viewfinder. It also resolves the issue related to the message “Err 99 Shooting is not possible.” The update is now available for download via Canon’s official website. [DCViews]
