Canon has officially announced the Rebel T2i as a successor to the Rebel T1i/500D. This entry-level all-in-one dSLR camera supports a 18MP still mode and records up to 1080p 30fps videos. The Canon EOS Rebel T2i is scheduled to be delivered to U.S. dealers in early March 2010, and will be sold in a body-only configuration at an estimated retail price of $799.99. Sanyo today introduced a new member from its Xacti camcorders series. Dubbed as the Xacti DMX-SH11, this video recorder is powered by a 3.5-megapixel CMOS 1/3.6-inch sensor with a 35-mm wide-angle lens, and a high-power 30X “Advanced Zoom” function. Measuring 42.8mm x 117.9mm x 59.2mm and weighing 203grams, the DMX-SH11 also supports a Full HD video recording mode (1920 x 1080 /60i / 30fps) with the MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 format, a slow motion mode in 192 x 108 (600fps), the new “Sound Zoom” technology, a 16GB of internal memory, a digital image stabilizer, the face chaser function, the Eye-Fi and SDXC cards compatibility and a mini HDMI port. Sony has decided to released the Sony DSLR-A450 only in Europe. The DSLR camera boasts a 14.2-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor, a powerful BIONZ processor and a sensitivity that can hit a whopping ISO 12800. The A450 also provides the most impressive shooting stamina of any DSLR camera by Sony to date. The high-capacity battery allows up to 1,050 shots between charges.
