The Toshiba Gigashot V10 Camcorder

Toshiba offers the Gigashot V10 pocket camcorder that sports Mpeg-2 with a 4GB hard disk (0.85 inch) and an SD slot (SDHC). The gadget is now available in Dark Titanium and also Windows Vista ready. Find out one more pic after the break!

Panasonic SDR-S10 - World

Panasonic comes back with the SDR-S10, which is claimed to be the world’s smallest SDHC-based camcorder. Measuring 1.2 inches x 2.5 inches x 4.5 inches, the camcorder captures video using its 2.7 inch LCD screen with a max 10x optical zoom. It uses a 2GB SD card to record up to 50 minutes of high quality video. The SDR-S10 will be available in Europe sometime in May this year. No word on pricing yet.

Canon’s HV20 High-Def Camcorder

Canon's HV20 High-Def Camcorder

The new Canon HV20 camcorder is capable of recording 1080 high-def video in 16:9 format. The camcorder features a 10x optical zoom with a built-in image stabilizer, and a 3.1MP camera. Users also can hook up the HV20 to their HDTV via its HDMI output. It saves video to MiniDV tapes and saves pictures to miniSD cards. The Canon HV20’s price tag is expected at around $1,099.

Hitachi DZ-HS301 and DZ-HS303 Hybrid Camcorders

Hitachi DZ-HS301 and DZ-HS303 Hybrid Camcorders

Hitachi has two new camcorders with DVD burning capabilities. They are the DZ-HS301 and the DZ-HS303, that feature support for DVD-RAM, DVD±RW and DVD-R and also “One Touch Dubbing” by which it doesn’t make it necessary to have a host PC to perform video burning. The total memory of these cameras is about 8GB, enough to store quite a lot of media. The DZ-HS301 has a 1.3MP sensor with 800x digital zoom, while the DZ-HS303 has a greater 3.3MP sensor with a 500x digital zoom. Both devices have a 2.7 inch wide display. The DZ-HS301 costs around US$1449 and the DZ-HS303 costs about US$1649.

Hitachi’s HD Camcorder Concept

Hitachi's Future HD Camcorder Concept

Hitachi unveils several prototypes of Blu-ray disc full HD camcorder at the CEATEC 2006. These camcorders would use the mini Blu-Ray discs, which are apparently in the works. There is also a model with a hard disk or Flash memory. The design of the future video camcorder is pretty stylish and clean with a touch of retro.
