Three huge digital camera manufacturers have announced the firmware update for their famous digital cameras. Canon has released the firmware update for the Canon WFT-E3/E3A wireless transmitter. Meanwhile, the firmware update for Nikon D80 and D200 corrects the problem of light flashing empty, which is also known as the ‘Dead Battery Syndrome’. And finally, firmware v1.1 for the Olympus E-520 corrects the brightness level of AF target points in the Viewfinder mode. [dpreview]

The Canon Powershot SD990 is the new 14.7MP compact digital camera from Canon. The digicam features a 2.5-inch LCD with the firm’s new Quick Shot Modes for faster shutter speeds. Canon offers a brand new point-and-shoot digital camera. Priced at $299, the Canon PowerShot SD880 IS is a 10MP sensor, 4x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization and a 3 inch LCD display. The digicam is currently available in two different color combinations including gold and silver or gold and brown. The company has decided to release this pocket digital camera later this month. Canon is famous for their digital camera line. This Japanese manufacturer has recently announced the Canon Powershot G10 compact digital camera. It is actually the Canon Powershot G9 successor. The 14MP digital camera supports 28mm-140mm wide-angle lens with a 5x Optical zoom, a 3-Inch Pure color LCD II Screen and the Canon’s DIGIC IV imaging processor.
