After we posted the Canon EOS 500D rumor last week, many were curious what the camera looks like. So today as promised, here’s the new Canon EOS 500D also dubbed as the Rebel T1i.

According to rumors, Canon will release a brand new DSLR from the Rebel range known as the EOS 500D. The Canon EOS 500D will come with a 15MP sensor, a DIGIC IV imaging processor, up to 12,800 ISO levels, and an articulating LCD display with 900k resolution as well as a 1080p movie mode which will be an extension of the 5D Mark II and similar to the one found in the Panasonic Lumix DMC GH1. Canon Japan today announced that the company will refund up to 20,000 Yen or around €160 on any purchase of a Canon 50D or Kiss X2 until June 30th, 2009. You will be entitled to a 20,000 Yen refund for a Canon 50D with EF-D18-200-IS lenses and 10,000 Yen for Canon Kiss X2 with a kit lens or not. [Akihabara]

Canon releases its new point-and-shoot digital camera. The SX200 is a 12MP digital camera that boasts 12x zoom 28mm wide-angle lens, 720p video recording and a 3 inch display.
