Fantasea has recently released the FS-51 underwater housing which is compatible with the new Nikon Coolpix S52 and S52c digital cameras. This water proof case is depth rated up to 60 meters/200 feet under water and has a double O-ring seal on all controls, anti-glare hood over LCD screen, built-in flash diffuser and a 41mm lens port. Nikon will be dropping their “Style Series” of cameras including the COOLPIX S52 and S52c. If you’re looking for wifi than you may want to check out the S52c allowing you to upload pics to Flickr or Nikon’s “my Picturetown.” Both feature 9 megapixel sensors, 3x zoom, optical image stabilization, etc. Look for both in May for S52 $250 and the S52c for $280. Here’s an update of the Nikon S600 camera as far as release dates and pricing goes. The S600 will release sometime this March for $299.
Nikon will release a new CoolPix model aka the S600. Each camera features support for the VR mode (blurring correction), a face recognition AF system, a 4x Optical Zoom, 45MB of internal memory and available in 3 colors : Black, Gold and Silver. Price and exact release dates are still unknown.
Nikon has rolled out its new Nikon Coolpix S51C. This new 8.1 Megapixel shooter is a great combination of style and technology. The camera is powered with a 3x optical zoom lens which has a focal range from 1ft to infinity. The S51C also offers 1/2.5-in. CCD image sensor and 3.0” inches tilt LCD screen with 160-degree wide-angle of view to give the maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448. Its Optical VR Image Stabilization minimizes the effect of camera shake to give you blur free images, while the auto adjust feature allows you shoot crystal clear, bright images even in low light.
