Nikon today released firmware version 2.01 for their D3 DSLR camera. The new firmware update fixes Geo info display for the GP-1, improved autofocus-response, enhanced AF button function, modified photo info displayed in full-frame playback, issue with black dots in images has been resolved, problem with Speedlight SB-800 has been resolved, and an under exposure issue with images captured with some lenses. Nikon Imaging Korea today launched its new wide aperture fixed-focal length NIKKOR lens which is dubbed as the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G. The lens is currently available in the South Korean market for around 600,000 Won. The lens also features Nikon’s ultra-compact Silent Wave Motor (SWM) ring-type and enables autofocus in cameras without a built-in motor such as the Nikon D40 and Nikon D60. It is a 24.5MP(CMOS Sensor) DSLR that is able to take pictures in 6048 x 4032 resolution with the EXPEED™ Image Processing System that shoots about 5 frame per seconds, and 7 fps in DX crop mode.
