We’re running a little late on this one but Pentax has launched the Pentax DCF ED line of premium binoculars. What make these binoculars special is that they are equipped with an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, includes super reflective, phase-coated prisms, impact resistance, and also water-proof. The Pentax DCF HRc models will be available under $300 in 8×42 and 10×42 sizes, while the Pentax DCF ED series will be available under $900 in 8×32, 8×43, 10×43 and 10×50 sizes.
Pentax Optio W20 will be released next month. The camera boasts a 7MP image sensor with a blur reduction mode, 3x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 6.3 to 18.9mm, 2.5 inch LCD display, 21.9MB of built-in memory, and 25 shooting modes. The camera is also waterproof up to 30 minutes in 1.5 meters. Pentax Optio W20’s price is $299.
Pentax will release a new 7M digital camera ‘Optio S7 this August 2006 in Japan. The camera will be the latest version of Optio S series which will feature face recognition features that recognize the location of a model’s face automatically. Optio S7 supports SDHC/SD memory card and measures 85.5 mm ×19.5 mm × 53.5 mm with the weight of 100 grams. It will be available for 30,000 Yen.
