Ricoh WG-5 GPS Rugged Digital Camera Announced

Ricoh hits back by announcing their latest rugged digital camera, the WG-5 GPS. Specs-wise, this waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof camera has a 16MP BSI CMOS image sensor, a 25mm wide-angle lens, a 4x optical zoom lens, a 3.0-inch 460k-dot wide-frame LCD monitor, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, a micro-HDMI output port and built-in GPS module. Other prominent features include A Comprehensive Selection of Underwater Shooting Modes, Dual Anti-Shake Protection for sharp, blur-free images and Six Macro Lights to assist close-up shooting. In terms of video recording, the WG-5 GPS can record 1080p@30fps Full HD video in H.264 format. Ricoh hits back by bringing you their latest 360-degree spherical digital camera, the Theta M15. Coming with a dual lens design, this unique and eye-catching camera has lenses on both the front and back sides of the camera to enable full 360-degree spherical Imagery to be captured with each exposure. Furthermore, the camera can record up to 3 minutes of 1080p spherical video at 15fps with no stitch lines. Both still images and movies can be saved to the internal 4GB memory. While the built-in WiFi connectivity enables direct wireless transferring to Android or iOS mobile devices, using a dedicated app. Powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the Theta M15 will be available in the US from November 14th for around $300 in blue, yellow, pink and white color options. Pentax K-S1 Sweets Collection Introduced

Ricoh has introduced a trio of stunning special edition Pentax K-S1 digital SLR cameras called the Pentax K-S1 Sweets Collection. This new collection includes three new color ways – Strawberry Cake, Blue Cream Soda and Lime Pie, all of which incorporate white bodies accentuated with vibrant color accents. The white body camera is paired with a white lens (SMC DA L 18-55mm f3.5-5.6) to enhance the overall appearance. The Pentax K-S1 Sweets Collection comes with the exact same specs as the Pentax K-S1 editions. Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for the new Ricoh WG-M1 action camera. Ruggedly designed, this waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof camera boasts a 14MP 1/2.3″ CMOS image sensor, a 160-degree wide-angle lens, a 1.5-inch LCD monitor for real-time image monitoring, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB) and built-in WiFi connectivity (you can use the dedicated app to remotely control the camera and monitor videos and photos from your mobile device). The WG-M1 can capture both 1080p@30fps or 720p@60fps video and up to 14MP digital still images, and supports for motion detection movie recording, high-speed movie recording (848 x 480 resolution movies at 120fps) and time lapse movie recording. Ricoh is preparing to launch a new WiFi-enabled rugged digital camera called the WG-30w. This waterproof, shockproof, crushproof and freezeproof camera sports a 16MP 1/2.3″ Backlit CMOS sensor, a Ricoh 5x optical zoom f/3.5-5.5 lens (equivalent to 28-140mm in the 35mm format), built-in LEDs, a 2.7-inch 230k-dot LCD monitor and built-in WiFi connectivity. Other interesting features include WG Digital Microscope Mode which allows user to capture even the slightest detail, like pebble in a mountain stream, High-Speed Continuous Shooting: 10fps and 1080p Full HD video recording at 30fps. This waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof and crushproof camera sports a 14-megapixel image sensor, a 28mm wide-angle lens, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch 230k-dot LCD monitor, Eye-Fi wireless LAN SD memory card support, a micro-HDMI output port and 720p HD video recording capabilities.
