DMX-HD800, a new sleek, slim high definition dual camera Xacti can take both 8.0-Megapixel stills and videos(1280 x 720, 720p). It comes with a new three-dimensional digital noise reduction (3DDNR) filter, and adds facial recognition for both stills and videos with scanner visible on LCD. It is compatible with personal computers and/or upload video data to the Internet. Available in Gold, Pink, and Black. It will start rolling in late August. Sanyo’s Xacti HD1010 boasts a full 1920 x 1080 (1080i) resolution recording, “Face Chaser” face detection technology, 300fps slow motion mode, 4.0-megapixel stills, SDHC card slot, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD display. Sanyo today introduced their new Xacti DMX-CA8 camcorder that offers 8MP CMOS sensor, 5x optical Zoom, face Chaser mode that does facial recognition even when underwater, compatible with JIS IPX5 and IPX8 Japanese standard, waterproof up to 1 hour underwater at 1.5m depth, and can record video files in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 at 60fps in VGA. Sanyo has unveiled the VPC-HD700 digital camcorder, a high-definition 720p digital movie camera. The VPC-HD700 features a 1280 by 720 resolution, compact and perfect for the on-the-go lifestyle. Other features include: MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format support, 7.1 megapixels, 5X optical zoom, 12X digital zoom, and a face chaser. No word on pricing or availability.
