Finding yourself a new action camera? Why don’t you take a look at this new HDR-AZ1 Action Cam Mini from Sony. Designed for capturing POV footage of adventures of all kinds, this splash-proof camera (IPX4) packs a 16.8MP 1/2.3-inch Exmor R CMOS sensor, a 170-degree wide-angle lens, Sony’s BIONZ X Image Processor, a microSD card slot and built-in WiFi connectivity for live-viewing and remote operation using a smartphone or other mobile device. The HDR-AZ1 can record 1080p60 Full HD video in XAVC S codec and 120fps slow motion video in 720p. In addition to video, it also takes 11.9MP still photos with the option for single shot, burst shooting at up to 8fps and interval recording for creating time-lapse effects. Sony has introduced a new action camcorder to its range, the Sony Action Cam HDR-AS20. This waterproof camcorder sports a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, a 170-degree wide-angle lens, a microSD card slot, an HDMI output port, WiFi connectivity that connects the Action Cam with the wearable RM-LVR1 Live-View Remote and 1080p Full HD video recording at a bit rate of 28Mbps. Sony’s latest compact system camera ‘A7S’ has finally been priced in Europe. This interchangeable lens camera is scheduled to go on sale in Europe at the end of July for 2,400 Euro (about $3,272).
