NEC Noise Suppression Technologies In Casio Exilim EX-ZR10

by Johan on February 18, 2011

NEC Corporation has managed to develop new technologies for digital cameras in movie mode that suppress the noise produced by motors and other mechanisms used for optical zooming. In yesterday’s press release, NEC provides some more details on the implementation of the NEC Noise Suppression technologies on Casio’s new high-speed digicam, the Exilim EX-ZR10. These new technologies suppress noise through a method that records and saves the core characteristics of sounds created by a camera lens’ driving mechanisms, then subtracts this information from signals that are recorded by microphones.
