Canon Korea Consumer Imaging will launch, PowerShot A640, which is a 10 MP compact digital camera in mid-September. The A640 is designed for beginners and those who want a compact manual digital camera. The camera features 1/1.8-inch 10MP CMOS sensor, and 115,000 pixels 2.5 inch swiveling LCD monitor.

Nikon Coolpix S9 Digicam to Come in Hot Pink, Blue & Silver

Nikon Coolpix S9 is slated to have a 6.1MP CCD, a 2.5 inch screen, 3x zoom, 15 scene modes, and a 640 x 480 movie mode @ 30fps. It will also be available in a choice of three colors; silver, blue and hot pink.

Panasonic Lumix DMC FX3

Panasonic Korea announced the launch of Lumix DMC FX3 at the end of August. Lumix DMC FX3 is a 6MP digital camera which features 2.5 inch LCD screen and stabilizing technology ‘MEGA O.I.S’. The camera measures 94.1 mm x 51.1 mm x 24.2 mm at 125 grams. No word on pricing yet.

It is also capable of recording VGA movies with sound at 30 frames per second for up to 36 minutes per clip with optional high-capacity 4GB SDHC memory cards. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing and availability yet.

Measuring 34 mm x 14 mm x 27 mm and weighing 28 grams, it can take VGA stills (640×480) and get 15fps VGA resolution movies for use with Skype, MSN and other IM clients with video. Doraemon webcam comes with a sticker for monitor mounting and a little chain so you can hang it from a wall. The camera sells for just US$32.00 at USB Brando.
