Casio has unveiled the world’s slimmest digital camera with a 7X optical zoom lens at CES 2007. Dubbed as the Exilim EX-V7, this ultra-slim 7.2MP digicam supports Casio’s CCD shift system, H.264 MPEG movies, and a 38-266mm equivalent optical zoom. Casio’s CCD shift technology “reduces blur due to shaky hands or a moving subject by using higher ISO sensitivity and faster shutter speeds, with new motion analysis technology that uses the most appropriate ISO sensitivity and shutter speed to capture a moving photo subject.” Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

Kodak released the V1003 10MP camera that comes in a variety of colors. You can personalize this camera by saving many user settings on the flash card, making it easy to come back to a previous set of parameters. No word yet on pricing.

Sanyo introduced to the world the successor of the Xacti HD, dubbed as the Xacti HD2. Sanyo claims that the camera has an improved video quality in dark conditions by up to 75% over the Xacti HD. However, this 7.1 MP digicam doesn’t come with an SD card.

The Fujifilm Finepix IS-1 is a specialized digital camera that allows you to shoot in infrared without any specific modifications. It features a 10.7x opitcal zoom and ISO of up to 1600. Retail is $899 US.
