HP will be dropping the new Elite Auto Focus Webcam which is compatible with most PC-based video chat programs such as (Yahoo, Skype, MS Messenger, AIM), and comes with USB 2.0, a 3 megapixel CMOS camera capable of shooting video ranging from 640 x 480 pixels at 30fps with a quality of 1,600 x 1,200 at 5fps, a built-in stereo microphone, face tracking and Magic-i video effects software, 3 programmable buttons, and a sliding “privacy cover”. No word on the pricing, but I’d imagine it wont be cheap with all the fancy features it has. [DigitalHome]

Vivitar has added another camcorder to their line that will be able to shoot HD. The DVR565HD will capture in H.264 / MPEG-4 at 30fps, video back out in 1080i via the HDMI output and will be available in black and silver and lastly, has a 3-inch flip-out LCD monitor as well as a 4GB SD card. Samsung 10.2-Megapixel L210 Point-and-Shoot

Samsung has dropped another digital camera called the L210 Point and Shoot. It comes with a 10.2-megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor, red eye correction, optical and digital image stabilization, face detection, an SVGA movie mode and ten whole megabytes of internal storage, and an SD / SDHC / MMC card. Kodak will release some EasyShare photoframes with “Quick Touch” borders so you can scroll through photos by sliding your finger along the border and control all the other frame functions. Both the M820 and M1020 feature 8 and 10-inch screens, audio and video support, 128MB of built-in memory, and support for most used memory card formats. While the 7-inch P720 comes with the Quick Touch border but lacks everything but the basic photo frame specs. All three will ship on April 16th. Look for the P720, M820 and M1020 at about $120, $180, and $230. [Engadget]

If you’re a real sports buff, then you might just appreciate the MPC-095 sporty webcam. It comes with a robot-like persona design holding a ball (choose from a basketball, a soccer ball, a baseball or a pigskin) in it’s left hand, a 1.3 megapixel video sensor, a 300k camera resolution and an integrated microphone along with mountable arms and legs.
