Olympus Stylus 1s Unveiled In Japan

Olympus Japan has unveiled a new compact digital camera to its range, the Stylus 1s. As a successor to the Stylus 1, the new model is packed with a number of new features including step-zoom function, focus peaking, small AF target and focal length display function. In addition, the Stylus 1s also comes with interval shooting and time-lapse video features. While its other main specifications are equivalent to the Stylus 1 of the old model including a 12MP 1/1.7″ BSI CMOS sensor, a 10.7x optical zoom lens, a 1.4M-dot high-def EVF, a 3.0″ 1.04M-dot tilt-touch LCD, built-in WiFi connectivity and 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. The Stylus 1s will go on sale in Japan from mid-November for around 70,200 Yen (about $642). [Olympus]
