Olympus Tough 8010 Camera Review

Image-acquire has a brief review of the Olympus Tough 8010 camera. As a reminder, the Olympus Tough 8010 is a 14MP compact digicam that has a 5x optical zoom, a 5x digital zoom, a 2.7-inch HyperCrystal III LCD monitor, a TruePic III image processor, dual image stabilization for maximum stability even in shaky conditions, face detection systems, 19 scene modes and several white balance modes. This camera is waterproof (up to 10m), shockproof (from 2m) and freezeproof (down to -10°C). Here is the conclusion:

It is a bit of a surprise to see there’s no editing software included with this, but it makes up for the lack by a sheer superabundance of other features and onboard systems. The controls are smooth and easy to operate and the picture quality is pretty nice, given that it’s a fourteen megapixel camera. It is a little on the pricey side at three hundred seventy bucks, but for what you get, that’s pretty nice.

If you are interested, the Olympus Tough 8010 rugged digital camera is priced at $389 at Amazon. [Image-acquire]
