The Fujifilm F50fd camera boasts of 12MP CCD sensor in a very slim body. The 7th generation CCD sensor comes with a 3x zoom, face detection that can detect up to 10 human faces in a scene in as little as 5/100’s of a second, Automatic Red Eye Removal function, Dual Image Stabilization and ISO settings of up to ISO 6400. In the Blog mode, the FinePix F50fd copies and automatically reduces the size of copied images for easy posting to a blog, Web page or as an attachment to email for easy sharing with friends and family while maintaining the original file. The xD/ SD/ SD-HC compatible slots are the other goodies bundled into the camera. The FinePix F50fd will be released in September 2007 at a retail price of $299.95.

It looks like the Canon PowerShot A450 and the Canon Coolpix L12 have some new competitors. Fujifilm has announced two new entry-level shooters. The first is the Finepix A920, sporting a 9MP CCD, 4x zoom and a 2.7-inch screen and retails for $199.95. The Finepix F480 has similar specs to the Finepix A920 except it comes with a smaller 8MP CCD sensor and is 0.4-inches thinner. The Finepix F480 is priced at $179.95.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z10fd is the most colorful of Fujifilm’s digital camera today. This 7.2MP Fashion camera has 3x optical zoom, 2.5inch LCD screen, slideshow mode, face detection technology with auto red eye removal, IR beaming, and a blogging mode which lets you post pictures to blogs, websites, auctions, or e-mail with ease by copying and automatically resizing any image you’ve captured right in the camera. The digicam captures video in 320×240 resolution, or takes photos at up to 1600 ISO. Available in Wave Blue, Wasabi Green, Hot Pink, Sunset Orange, and Midnight Black, the FinePix Z10fd has dual shot mode for back to back shots (with and without flash). In addition, its Li-on battery is good for 200 shots.

Today, Panasonic has unveiled three new Lumix shooters. The Lumix DMC-FX33 and DMC-FX55 are the 8MP cameras with 28mm wide-angle and 3.6X optical zoom Leica lenses, while the Lumix DMC-FZ18 offers the same CCD sensor with a 28-mm wide angle, and a higher 18x optical zoom. The Lumix DMC-FX33 has a 2.5 inch LCD display and sells for $299. The Lumix DMC-FX55 comes with a 3 inch LCD screen and retails for $349. In addition, the Lumix DMC-FZ18 will be released in September for $399. These cameras also support face detection technology and optical image stabilization.

Fujifilm has announced the launch of its digital camera, IS Pro, which is next generation of UVIR compatible DSLR and is built on the same platform as the FinePix S5 Pro Digital SLR system. The camera utilities 12.3MP CCD sensor and Real Photo Pro technology. Fujifilm IS Pro will retail for $2.600 in August.
