Sony will release two new HD-capable camcorders. The first one is the Sony HDR-SR8 that boasts a 3.2MP video sensor and 10X optical zoom. Sony will release it on July 9th for $1,600. The second camcorder is the Sony SR5C that provides up to 100GB of storage capacity. The Sony SR5C camcorder will be launched on July 9th for $1,300.

Samsung VM-X300 Camcorder

Samsung Korea introduced the VM-X300 camcorder, which starts up fast and you are ready to shoot in just 3 seconds. The device records in MPEG-4 format at 720 x 280 pixels and 30 fps. The camcorder has a rugged finish and offers a 2.0 inch display, 10X optical / 100X digital zoom, SD / MMC card slot and also plays MP3 files. The Samsung VM-X300 camcorder is now available in Korea for $322.

The Brand New Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS2 Digicam

The brand new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS2 comes jam packed with a 7.2MP CCD, 3x Leica DC Vario-Elmarit zoom lens, ISO 3200 “high sensitivity” mode, and 2.5-inch LCD. The camera can record 848 x 480 video at 30fps direct to SDHC/SD cards. The Lumix DMC-FS2 will be released sometime mid-June to Japan. It will be available in black or silver. Pentax AP50 DSLR Special 50th Anniversary Edition

Pentax introduced its new DSLR camera in tribute to its original film camera back in 1957 when its known as Asahi Optical Joint Stock Co. Dubbed as the AP50, the camera is “designed with vintage touch with its pyramid chassis for the pentaprism viewfinder.” The company will be displaying the Pentax AP50 at its Tokyo headquarters until the end of July.
