Fujifilm has just announced that the Z10fd and Z100fd models will get some firmware updates: the startup speed in both models while using xD cards, as well as the camera-to-computer transfer with higher capacity media in the Z10fd, and the adjustment of the underwater white balance on the Z100fd.
Canon has announced that they will be releasing a new camera ( Ixy Digital 20IS) camera in Japan. It features a lens shift-type Image Stabilizer(IS) system, a DIGIC III image processor, 8M CCD sensor and 3X optical zoom lens with support for p to 30fps in 640 x 480 resolution and ISO 1600. Look for this mini cam in five colors: silver, white, caramel, brown, and pink. The 20IS will be dropping early March for $327.
Panasonic has announced that they will be releasing a new 10.1-megapixel lumix digital camera known as the DMC-LZ10 in Japan. The DMC-LZ10 comes with a 5X zoom, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor with 848 x 480 resolution, and can take five photos continuously per a second and records video at 30 frames per second, and MEGA O.I.S(Optical Image Stabilizer). $327
JVC has announced that they will be releasing their GR-D870 mini DV camcorder. It features a 1/6-inch 680k pixel CCD, 35x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD monitor, DV in/out and 3D Noise Reducer,a SD/MMC card slot for snapping digital stills as well as recording footage to miniDV. $250
TechOn has announced that the EX-F1 has no shutter. Casio is scheduled to release the EX-F1 in March. It’ll come with a a continuous shooting speed of 60 fps (frames per second) (each frame is 6 Mpixels) and to shoot full HD (1080/60i) H.264 movies.
Samsung has just announced the release of the new 10-megapixel camera, the L210. The L210 offers an OIS or Optical Image Stabilizer, a DIS Digital Image Stabilizer, a 3x optical Zoom and Face detection system, a Self portrait mode and an Auto Red Eye Fix mode. No word on pricing or availability.
