Pentax today launched the firmware version 1.02 for the K-7 DSLR. The new update provides several improvements including:
- Added [Fine Sharpness 2] which makes image outlines sharper than [Fine Sharpness] on the Sharpness settings.
- Improved processing performance at the particular shooting condition or setting such as preview image quality at Water Color & Pastel of Digital Filter mode.
- Improved stability for general performance such as with Battery Grip D-BG4, the rear e-dial may become unstable in particular shooting condition.

Panasonic has released a new firmware update version 2.1 for its Lumix DMC-LX3 digital compact camera, which is basically the corrected version of the recently released firmware update version 2.0. Sony has unveiled the pricing and availability of their new XDCAM EX Shoulder-mount camcorder, the PMW-350K. Measuring 124mm x 269mm x 332mm and weighing 3.2-kg, the Sony XDCAM EX PMW-350K provides three 2/3 inch-type Exmor Full HD CMOS sensors, an HDMI out, and a 3.5-inch LCD screen. Canon is reportedly developing a new firmware update for its EOS 5D Mark II DSLR camera. The update is said to “enable full frame high definition 1080p video recording at 24 and 25 frames per second.” This new firmware update is expected to be made available during the first half of 2010. [dpreview]
