Samsung ST80 WiFi-enabled Camera

Samsung Electronics will release the ST80 14.2-megapixel point‑and-shoot camera, which is part of the company’s Wi-Fi-enabled digital camera series. The digicam features a 3x optical zoom and a large 3.0-inch wide touchscreen display. The Samsung ST80 also adopts the Smart Crop feature, which is a unique editing tool that takes place directly on the camera. Meanwhile, the Smart Auto (Still & Movie) scene recognition technology automatically recognizes the user’s current shooting environment and selects the appropriate settings to achieve the best results possible. At 30 frames-per-second, the ST80 allows users to record high‑quality, 720p HD video utilizing the H.264 format, which provides up to three times more recording capacity than the MJPEG video format. The Wi-Fi internet connection enables users to easily upload their favorite pictures and videos directly to social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa, YouTube, Photo Bucket or even Samsung’s own website. The Samsung ST80 WiFi-enabled camera will be launched in September 2010 for $249.99. [Digital Camera Resource]
