Canon has just released a firmware update version 1.1.0 for its Canon EOS 5D Mark II that allows users to enable the manual exposure setting when shooting movies. You’ll be able to download the update directly from Canon’s official website starting today. [Gizmodo]

Canon has officially announced that they will release the EOS Kiss X3 first in Japan next month, followed by the US, Europe and Asia. It is actually an Asian version of the Canon EOS 500D. This budget/entry-level HD-video capable camera features a 15.1 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that is ideal for large detailed prints. The camera also offers a high ISO sensitivity up to 3200 which is expandable to 12800. The Canon EOS Kiss X3 is priced at around $800 in Japan. [Akihabara]
After we posted the Canon EOS 500D rumor last week, many were curious what the camera looks like. So today as promised, here’s the new Canon EOS 500D also dubbed as the Rebel T1i.

According to rumors, Canon will release a brand new DSLR from the Rebel range known as the EOS 500D. The Canon EOS 500D will come with a 15MP sensor, a DIGIC IV imaging processor, up to 12,800 ISO levels, and an articulating LCD display with 900k resolution as well as a 1080p movie mode which will be an extension of the 5D Mark II and similar to the one found in the Panasonic Lumix DMC GH1.
