Creative has once again updated its Vado HD pocket camcorder series by unveiling the third generation model. Coming in a stylish, glossy new look, the third generation Vado HD brings several new improvements over the last generation. Some of the new features you’ll find include:
- Improved quality of video in low light or brightly lit conditions with manual exposure adjustments
- External stereo microphone support for better audio recording
- Headphone output for private listening
- Motion Detection Mode enables users to program the camera to begin recording as soon as motion is detected
- Out-of-the box Mac and PC compatibility
- Still Photo Capture Mode

Here’s another ultra-mobile high definition webcam for your notebook, the Live! Cam Socialize HD from Creative Labs. This slim and compact webcam features a USB 2.0 interface, a noise canceling microphone, a one-touch button for uploading videos to YouTube, a Windows Live! Creative has announced the availability of the second generation Vado HD pocket camcorder. The gadget comes with new Vado Central for Mac OS X that offers video transferring and direct to iMovie importing of Vado videos. The new Vado Central will be available for download in early September and is compatible with all previous Vado and Vado HD models. The new Vado HDs are available in 4GB and 8GB models, which holds up to 60 minutes of video and up to 120 minutes of video, respectively. Creative has released the camcorder that is able to record 720p high-definition footage for 2 hours with 8GB storage capacity, but if you need to record more than 2 hours then try the VGA quality so you can use it for about 8 hours. Measuring 3.3 inch x 7.9 inch x 6.3-inch, the Creative Vado HD Camcorder will be released on December 7 2008 for $200. But, if you are a Mac user then you can’t use it because it is only PC compatible. [Obsessable]
Vado Pocket Video Cam, similar to Pure Digital’s Flip Video cheapcorder. It features a YouTube friendly 640 x 480 resolution, 2GB of built-in memory, a 2-inch display, a flip-out USB connector, and two hours of battery life on a charge.
