Sony Korea will release its latest pocket camcorder in September. Dubbed as the NSC-GC1, the camcorder could be a solution for easy shooting and sharing. It features compact size like a compact digital camera and contains a software that allows users to upload videos directly to a website. Weighing at 150grams, the Sony NSC-GC1 will retail for $270.
Sony adds to Cybershot line with the CyberShot DSC-T200 and DSC-T70. These cameras come with 8.1MP sensor and touchscreen displays. Hit the jump to read the list of specifications.
Vivitar will release its ViviCam 6200w in the IFA 2007. It is a 6.0MP water resistant camera that has a 2.0“ color TFT-LCD screen with an integrated zoom up to 4X. The camera uses a focus free lens of 6.95mm, F3.3 with a focus range of 60cm~100cm(Macro), 100cm~infinty (Normal) on land and 45cm~75cm(Macro), 75~infinty(Normal) underwater. This water proof camera can resist water up to 30 ft and supports a resolution up to 2816 x 2112 pixels. In addition, the camera also provides a 16MB flash memory for storage and supports SD cards up to 2 GB.
BenQ showcased their new slim digital camera, the X725 7MP, during Taitronics Bangkok 2007. The shooter features Super Shake-Free mode, large 2.5″ LTPS screen with 230.000 pixels resolution, and supports 3x optical zoom and 4x(preview)/12x(playback) digital zoom. As usual, there is no word on pricing or availability so far. Stay tuned for more updates.

Here is another exciting release from BenQ. The company has launched the DC E1000 digital camera that offers a large 3 inch LTPS screen with a 10MP resolution and 3x optical zoom. The shooter comes with a Shake-Free hotkey located right next to the shutter button which initiates the S.S.F function under any scene of blurred images being taken to protect their clarity. The face recognition feature can focus up to nine human faces to present them accurately in terms of color and lucidity. This camera is also able to capture 12 photos in a second, helping to take the best shot. Its High ISO portrait support up to 1600 ensures bright images in dark settings without using a flash. Pricing info is still unknown.

Hitachi unveiled the DZ-BD70 and DZ-BD7H hybrid Blu-ray camcorders at a press release today in Japan. These Blu-ray cams feature 8cm Blu-Ray drive, a 30GB hard drive, a 5.3MP CMOS sensor delivering 2.07MP videos or 4.32MP stills, USB, HDMI and SD card slot. It’s hard drive can store up to 4 hours of full HD video. The camcorders also sport Advanced CCM circuit and Adaptive DNR (Digital noise reduction) to ensure your HD video looks and sounds perfect. The Hitachi DZ-BD70 and DZ-BD7H will be released on August 30th in Japan for $1348 and $1600 respectively. In addition, the special 8 cms BD-R disc will sell for $21 and BD-RE for $30. These hyper-expensive Blu-Ray discs have a capacity of 7.5 GB and can record up to 60 minutes of full HD 1,920 x 1,080 MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video.
