
Minox has recently released a new compact 12-megapixel digital camera in the form of the Minox DC 1211. The camera comes jam packed with a 5x optical zoom, a 3.0-inch LCD display, an electronic face recognition, a smile detection, an optical image stabilization, and a panorama and continuous shooting function. The Minox DC 1211 is also able to capture video. You can save all recorded videos and captured pictures on SD cards of up to 8GB (SDHC), or in the internal 32MB memory. The DC 1211 supports the PictBridge interface that makes it possible to connect the camera directly to the PictBridge-enabled printer without requiring a computer. GE Digital Cameras today announced two new digicams namely the 10-Megapixel J1050 and 12.2-Megapixel J1250. Both cameras come with several easy-to-use features, including Pan-Capture Panorama, wide-angle shots, Auto Scene, Blink, Smile and Face Detection. Each camera measures only 0.8-inch thin and has a 2.7-inch LCD screen with Auto Adjust Brightness for perfect screen visibility indoors and outdoors. Casio comes back with its latest digicam namely the Casio EX-Z33. This digital camera is actually an entry-level camera that features a 10.1MP CMOS sensor with a 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5-inch widescreen LCD display, Automatic face recognition, Best Shot function, and Auto Shutter mode. The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z450 point-and-shoot camera has been released. It is actually a 12.1MP shooter that adopts Exilim Engine 4.0, a 4x optical zoom, and is capable of recording video in 720/24p. The camera also features an ISO range of 64 to 3200, a 35.7 MB of internal memory, and a new Automatic Focus mode that automatically detects the photo subject even if it is not a human face. It should automatically adjust exposure and focus to best capture the non-human (or human) subject. The EX-Z450 is also capable of high-speed burst shooting at up to 10fps at a reduced resolution.
