
Canon has announced the availability of its EOS 1D Mark IV high-speed digital SLR camera, which is developed incorporating feedback from professional photographers. The camera provides a 16-megapixel Canon CMOS sensor, Dual DIGIC 4 Imaging Processors, and 14-bit A/D data conversion, all at 10 frames-per-second (fps), with the widest ISO range Canon has produced to date. Pentax will release the limited edition of Pentax K-x dSLR camera in Japan. This camera comes with a robotic color scheme that was inspired by the “Kore Ja Nai” robo toy. Only 100 units of this dSLR that will be released. The Pentax K-x ‘Robotic Colors’ Limited Edition will be available in Japan in their online store for $880 and it will be available for pre-order from November 2009. [Pentax]

Sanyo has launched two new HD cameras in the form of the Sanyo VPC-HD2000A and the Sanyo VPC-FH1A. Both cameras are actually the world’s first camcorders to offer compatibility with iFrame, a next generation video format designed specifically to allow users to easily import, edit and share high quality videos. Based on industry standard technologies such as H.264 and AAC audio, iFrame produces small file sizes and simplifies the process of working with video recorded with your camera. The Sanyo VPC-HD2000A and the Sanyo VPC-FH1A can record videos at 1080i and 1080p HD formats and 8MP still pictures. The former features a 2.7-inch LCD screen, while the latter has a 3-inch LCD screen. Both digicams provide 10x optical zoom for still shots and 16x optical zoom for video recordings. Minox has recently released a new compact 12-megapixel digital camera in the form of the Minox DC 1211. The camera comes jam packed with a 5x optical zoom, a 3.0-inch LCD display, an electronic face recognition, a smile detection, an optical image stabilization, and a panorama and continuous shooting function. The Minox DC 1211 is also able to capture video. You can save all recorded videos and captured pictures on SD cards of up to 8GB (SDHC), or in the internal 32MB memory. The DC 1211 supports the PictBridge interface that makes it possible to connect the camera directly to the PictBridge-enabled printer without requiring a computer. Not to mention, it also comes with several advanced features including electronic image stabilization, automatic white balance, face recognition and smile detection.
