
Olympus today launched the first firmware update for the Olympus PEN E-P1 digital SLR camera. This update improves the operation when using C-AF (continuous AF). In addition, the company has also released firmware update version 1.1 for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8 or the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 lenses to fix the same problem. Ricoh will launch the fifth and last function-enhancing firmware update for the Caplio GR DIGITAL II compact digital camera. The new update will enhance one press zoom ratio selection, one press zoom with ADJ lever, playback mode dial option selection, displayed-file memory in playback mode, and changing dial functions for manual exposure mode. Fujifilm has launched the Firmware v1.10 for the FinePix F200EXR digital compact camera. The update improves the performance of the camera’s Super Intelligent Flash and supports Finnish, Norwegian, Danish and Slovak languages for On Screen Display. For successful updating, always use the fully-charged NP-50 battery or the AC adapter while updating the firmware. Sigma today released the second firmware update for the Sigma DP2 digital camera. This firmware update version 1.02 fixes the accuracy of the Auto Focus and allows the magnification display function to be selected by pressing the OK button when in Manual Focus mode.
