Olympus has recently unveiled its new Digital Camera FE-290 7.1MP camera, which features a 28 mm wide 4x optical zoom, 3.0 inch LCD screen with 23 ten thousand effective pixels for detailed pictures and superior quality. It can be connected to any computer or printer through USB 2.0 and features an in built memory of 6.9 MB. The camera kit includes Lithium ion charge pond, lithium ion charger, charger power source cable, USB connector cable, AV cable, and strap. The Olympus FE290 will be available in late September.
Panasonic’s new digital single-lens reflex camera (SLR), the DMC-L10, features 2.5-inch LCD screen with 270 degree rotation, a 10.1MP Live MOS sensor. Its Dust reduction technology uses the integrated Supersonic Wave Filter system to prevent dust from attaching to the sensor. It possesses superb image processor, Venus Engine III, Four Thirds system for its lens mount high quality image rendering and exciting true to life pictures. Other features include advanced Face Detection and Intelligent ISO Control function, enhanced contrast AF system and Extra Optical Zoom with variable aspect ratios 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 according to the situation.
Hitachi’s first Blu-ray camcorder, the DZ-BD70E, features 8cm Blu-ray disc storage and is capable of recording one hour of full HD(1920×1080) footage to Blu-Ray disc. The discs have 5 times the capacity of regular 8cm MiniDVDs and can be played in any compatible Blu-Ray player. Additionally, the camcorder also sports HDMI interface and utilities a 5.3M CMOS sensor with an effective 2.07M for video and 4.32M for stills.
Nikon’s Coolpix S51c 7.99MP shooter features the WiFi and Flickr combo. With this cam, you can upload and email your fav. pictures using “my Picturetown” internet photo upload service, which allows you to upload pictures to Flickr or your own blog. The S51c is actually a successor of the S51 version. Nikon S51c retails for $460, while the S51 is priced at $400. Both cameras will be available in September.
The Canon PowerShot A650 IS Digital Camera is a 12.1MP camera that features 6x Optical Zoom Lens with the Lens Shift Type Image Stabilization 7.4 (W)–44.4 (T) mm (35mm equiv. : 35 (W)–210 (T) mm) f/2.8 (W)–f/4.8 (T) and 2.5-inch LCD (Approx. 173,000 pixels) screen with wide viewing angle attributing low-temperature polycrystalline silicon. Other features include 1/1.7-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, mechanical electronic shutter with a speed of 15-1/2000 sec, wide memory card support, real-image zoom viewfinder, and supports direct connection to computer, TV or printer through USB 2.0. Four AA batteries are enough to shoot approx. 300 sharp pictures.
Pentax has recently introduced two new digital cameras today. The Z10 features an 8MP CCD sensor (up to ISO 2100), 7x zoom, and 52MB of internal memory, while the S10 comes with a 10MP CCD sensor with up to 3x zoom, 22MB internal memory, and able to record DivX MPEG-4 videos. Both cameras share the same digital anti-shake, 2.5-inch LCDs, facial recognition, SDHC compatibility, $250 price tags, and September release dates. One more pic after the jump.
