Hitachi Home Electronics has introduced its next-generation Blu-ray Disc Hybrid Camcorder with the ability to record onto the next generation HD format, Blu-ray. The new DZ-BD10HA will offer several new features and improvements, notably a newly developed 7 mega pixel CMOS image sensor, which captures rich and vibrant videos and stills in FullHD (1920 x 1080) High Definition. It also comes with built in 30 GB HDD that is able to record up to 4 hours 20 minutes (1920×1080) or 8 hours 40 minutes (1440×1080) videos. The new DZ-BD10HA also offers a dubbing function that allows Full HD video to be transferred with the single push of a button from either the HDD or SDHC card to the BD drive, all within the camcorder, without having to connect to a PC. The new Hitachi DZ-BD10H HD camcorder will be available on August 9th, 2008. The camcorder is actually a new version of the previously released DZ-BD9H camcorder. The HD video camera offers a built-on Blu-Ray recorder (BD-R/RE), 30GB of HDD, a 2.7-Inch LCD screen, HDMI output, the face detection function and a SD/SDHC slot. Hitachi’s first Blu-ray camcorder, the DZ-BD70E, features 8cm Blu-ray disc storage and is capable of recording one hour of full HD(1920×1080) footage to Blu-Ray disc. The discs have 5 times the capacity of regular 8cm MiniDVDs and can be played in any compatible Blu-Ray player. Additionally, the camcorder also sports HDMI interface and utilities a 5.3M CMOS sensor with an effective 2.07M for video and 4.32M for stills.
Hitachi unveiled the DZ-BD70 and DZ-BD7H hybrid Blu-ray camcorders at a press release today in Japan. These Blu-ray cams feature 8cm Blu-Ray drive, a 30GB hard drive, a 5.3MP CMOS sensor delivering 2.07MP videos or 4.32MP stills, USB, HDMI and SD card slot. It’s hard drive can store up to 4 hours of full HD video. The camcorders also sport Advanced CCM circuit and Adaptive DNR (Digital noise reduction) to ensure your HD video looks and sounds perfect. The Hitachi DZ-BD70 and DZ-BD7H will be released on August 30th in Japan for $1348 and $1600 respectively. In addition, the special 8 cms BD-R disc will sell for $21 and BD-RE for $30. These hyper-expensive Blu-Ray discs have a capacity of 7.5 GB and can record up to 60 minutes of full HD 1,920 x 1,080 MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video.
Hitachi is claiming that its latest Blu-ray camcorders will be on sale by the end of the year. The company has developed an 8-cm Blu-ray DVD drive with 7GB capacity and 5.3MP CMOS sensor. Stay tuned for more updates.

The device combines the high capacity of a 30GB Hard disc with the convenience of a multiform at +DVD burner. This camcorder is supported by one touch button to burn movies from HDD to DVD and features 2 channels Dolby Digital acoustic recording. The DZ-HS500E also has a 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen.
