Minox has recently released a new compact 12-megapixel digital camera in the form of the Minox DC 1211. The camera comes jam packed with a 5x optical zoom, a 3.0-inch LCD display, an electronic face recognition, a smile detection, an optical image stabilization, and a panorama and continuous shooting function. The Minox DC 1211 is also able to capture video. You can save all recorded videos and captured pictures on SD cards of up to 8GB (SDHC), or in the internal 32MB memory. The DC 1211 supports the PictBridge interface that makes it possible to connect the camera directly to the PictBridge-enabled printer without requiring a computer. Measuring only 95mm x 58mm x 18.8mm and weighing just 116 grams, this super-compact camera boasts a 10-megapixel CCD image sensor, a 3-inch TFT color display, 3x optical zoom, a 32MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a USB port and a replaceable Lithium-Ion battery. Not to mention, it also comes with several advanced features including electronic image stabilization, automatic white balance, face recognition and smile detection. German based company Minox is popular in Japan for its tiny cameras. Komamura, the Japanese company which take cares of this product here in Japan, has announced the DSC (Digital Spy Camera) that features a 3.2MP sensor with 128MB of internal memory.
