
Still remember the Olympus PEN EP-1 Micro Four Thirds camera that we mentioned last month? As a successor to the Olympus EP-1, the new Olympus PEN E-P2 adopts the company’s new VF-2 viewfinder with a 12.3-megapixel Live MOS sensor, image stabilization and dust reduction, and supports up to 6400 ISO. The camera will be available in either an ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom lens or a 17mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens. Both models will be released in December for $1,100 each. [Nexus404]

Olympus’ Chinese website have recently listed another upcoming micro four thirds camera from Olympus on their site namely the Pen E-P2. However, details remain scarce at the moment, but from what we heard the camera will feature a rangefinder and is expected to have the same retro styling as the E-P1. Olympus has released a new firmware update version 1.1 for its FE-4000 digital compact camera. The update will “improve the quality of the live-view display when shooting in low light conditions.” You’ll be able to download the update directly from Olympus’ official website starting today. Olympus today launched the first firmware update for the Olympus PEN E-P1 digital SLR camera. This update improves the operation when using C-AF (continuous AF). In addition, the company has also released firmware update version 1.1 for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8 or the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 lenses to fix the same problem. Here are the leaked pictures of Olympus’ upcoming low-end DSLR camera, the E-600 which is likely to be a scaled down version of the E-620.
