
The Panasonic VW-BN2 is a new portable DVD writer that is designed to connect directly to your AVCHD camcorders/cameras via USB port. This DVD burner allows you to capture and save your recorded video files into a DVD without the need of a PC. The VW-BN2 portable DVD burner is able to burn DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM at up to 6X. Sealux today unveiled an underwater housing for Panasonic camcorders. Dubbed as the Sealux HSD300, the case is usable at depths of up to 90 meters under water. With the application of the case, the Panasonic camcorders can still record videos in HDV and DV quality in the 16:9 or 4:3 formats and HD photos of up to 10.6 megapixels. Panasonic camcorders compatible with the Sealux HSD300 casing include the HDC-SD300 and HDC-HS300. The Panasonic Sealux underwater housings will be released in July 2010. Panasonic has released a new firmware update version 2.1 for its Lumix DMC-LX3 digital compact camera, which is basically the corrected version of the recently released firmware update version 2.0. Panasonic has released a firmware update version 1.1 for its Lumix G Vario 45-200mm F4.0-5.6 OIS Micro Four Thirds lens.
