Pentax has come out with another point-and-shoot camera known as the Optio E85. This compact camera sports a 12.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 3x zoom lens, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, ISO up to 3200 and the capability to record video in VGA quality at 30fps. Samsung is gearing up to launch another ultra zoom point-and-shoot digital camera known as the HZ25W. This new digital camera sports a massive 24x zoom lens with 26mm wide angle optics, a 12.5-megapixel CCD sensor, a 3-inch LCD with a 0.24-inch electronic viewfinder and is capable of recording 720p HD video in H.264 format. Ricoh is back with another one of its new point and shoot camera, the CX2. This compact camera sports a 10.3-megapixel CCD sensor, a high magnification 10.7x optical wide-angle zoom lens, a 3-inch LCD display, an ISO range from 80 to 1600, an 88MB of internal memory and the capability to record video in VGA quality. The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z450 point-and-shoot camera has been released. It is actually a 12.1MP shooter that adopts Exilim Engine 4.0, a 4x optical zoom, and is capable of recording video in 720/24p. The camera also features an ISO range of 64 to 3200, a 35.7 MB of internal memory, and a new Automatic Focus mode that automatically detects the photo subject even if it is not a human face. It should automatically adjust exposure and focus to best capture the non-human (or human) subject. The EX-Z450 is also capable of high-speed burst shooting at up to 10fps at a reduced resolution.
