
Ricoh is set to release its latest camera system ‘GXR’ that features interchangeable lenses and sensors. Unlike most camera systems, the GXR will allow photographers to replace both the lens and sensor as a package. Coming in December, there will be two different types of lens options including a 24-72mm f/2.5-4.4 with 10MP CCD built-in sensor and VGA video recording capability for £300 (about $502) and a 50mm f/2.5 macro lens with 12.3MP CMOS sensor and HD video recording capability for £600 (about $1,005).
