
Ricoh has announced a sequel to previous R8 model. R10 will offer 10 megapixel, 7.1x optical zoom, 28-200mm wide-angle zoom lens, 3 inch LCD, and image stabilization. The notable enhancements on the earlier R8 model include a larger LCD screen, four-person face recognition, easy presets for newbies, and auto level compensation of contrast and sharpness. It also has an acceleration sensor that lets you know when you’re tilting, so you can straighten out before you click the shutter. It will be available in black, brown and silver. Price and availability are still TBD, although the rumor has it R10 will be available around $450. [Ricoh]

Ricoh’s latest digital camera, the GX200, provides removable tilting electronic viewfinder, 12MP resolution, a 2.7 inch LCD display, and smooth Imaging Engine III processor. There is no word on pricing. [dpreview]

Ricoh will dropping another camera called the G600. This 10-megapixel cam features a 2.7-inch LCD, 28-140mm wide-zoom lens, 5x optical zoom, USB connectivity, ISO 3200 capability and a shock-resistant feature that also repels dust and water. You even get an accessory shoe for an external flash. Unfortunately all these features add up to about £349.99 ($693) and will be available in May. [Engadget]

Ricoh has announced the release of the aluminum R8 and R50 come with a 10 megapixel camera, 1/2.3-inch CCD covered with a 7.1x optical zoom lens, the back has a 2.7-inch LCD with CCD-shift image stabilization and smooth imaging engine III processing on the inside. Both should drop in Japan in March for about $460 and $280 for the R50 which features a 10 megapixel sensor, processing engine, and stabilization with a 5X optical zoom. [Engadget]

The Ricoh GR Digital II comes with a 10.3MP imaging sensor coupled with 5.9 mm focal length and a 4.0X digital zoom. The camera is now available at select electronic dealers.
