Samsung releases the new ST10 and PL10 9MP cameras with 3x optical inner zoom. Both cameras also adopt advance Smart Face Recognition that actually identifies people rather than just detecting them. This technology is able to search for pictures of up to 15 faces in a thumbnail-form without looking at each individual photo. The Samsung ST10 and PL10 digicams will be released in March this year. Amazon has unveiled Samsung’s upcoming TL320 compact camera on their online listing, though it’s not currently in stock at this stage. But here we have the specs for you, according to the retailer’s pre-order page, the camera will offer 12-megapixels with a 5x Schneider wide angle dual image stabilized zoom, and a 3-inch OLED display. Samsung offers four new point-and-shoot digital cameras from its SL Series including SL820 and SL620 12.1MP cameras and SL202 and SL30 are 10MP entry-level cameras. The SL820 features 720P video recording and HDMI out. Meanwhile, the SL620 only records VGA video. The Samsung SL202 and SL30 offer a 2.7 inch LCD and a 2.5 inch LCD, respectively. Both cameras offers a 3x optical zoom, and MJPEG VGA 30fps video recording. Pricing info is still unknown.
Update: The SL820, SL620, SL202 and SL30 will retail for $249.99, $199.99, $149.99 and $99.99, respectively, when they ship this March. [Akihabara]
Samsung is out with another of its digital camera known as WB500. The camera features a powerful 10.2-megapixel with a 24mm wide angle lens and 10x optical zoom from Schneider. The camera also boasts both hardware and software image stabilization to help eliminate blurry images and capable of recording HD movie clips 1280X720, H.264. The camera boasts a 8.1 megapixel 1/2.5″ high resolution CCD sensor with 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD and video recordings with MJPEG VGA resolution (640 X 480, and 30/15 fps). Other features include Face Detection technology, Self-Portrait, Beauty Shot, Digital Image Stabilization technology, and an auto sensitivity feature that automatically adjusts sensitivity according to the ambient exposure conditions up to ISO 1600.
