Sony has launched its new line of high-definition studio cameras in the form of the Sony HXC-100 Studio Camera. It is specially designed to allow the broadcasters enjoy a high quality in HD production. This camcorder produces high-quality SD and HD images without any compromise and features a 2/3 inch Power HAD FX CCD with 2.2 millions pixels. This new camera is also switchable between 1080i and 720P 50/60Hz and is compatible with many Sony viewfinders including HDVF-200, HDVF-C35W, HDVF-550, HDVF-20A and HDVF-C950W. Here is a successor to the Sony Handycam TG1. The new TG5V (or TG7 in Europe) is now lighter and smaller than its predecessor. Weighing at 230 grams and measuring 30mm x 117mm x 62mm, the camera has 16GB of Internal memory (or 6hours of video recoding), a 30mm wide angle, a new BIONZ and Exemor image processor for low light recording, and new coating for the Camera body to prevent scratches. What makes this camcorder special is that it has an integrated GPS antenna and NAVTEQ maps that can be used to automatically geo-tag videos or images to keep a record of the exact shooting location. Sony releases the waterproof pack for their new Cyber-Shot DSC-T90 and W-Series cameras. The packs offer protection from splashes near the pool and waterproof protection in up to 5 feet (1.5m) of water. Sony is out with its latest CyberShot digital camera, the DSC-HX1 model. It’s the company’s first digital camera with sweep panorama technology which is capable of capturing up to 224-degree horizontal and 154-degree vertical panorama shots with the push of a button. Other interesting features include a Sony G lens, a 9.1 megapixel resolution, a 20x optical zoom, 1/2.4-inch Exmor CMOS sensor and full High Definition (1080p) video recording.
