
The DVR 150 is the latest camcorder from Vivitar that is waterproof up to 5 meters underwater. The cool factor for this video recorder is that it also has an infrared night vision mode to capture video in the dark environtment. Vivitar has added another camcorder to their line that will be able to shoot HD. The DVR565HD will capture in H.264 / MPEG-4 at 30fps, video back out in 1080i via the HDMI output and will be available in black and silver and lastly, has a 3-inch flip-out LCD monitor as well as a 4GB SD card. Vivitar will release its ViviCam 6200w in the IFA 2007. It is a 6.0MP water resistant camera that has a 2.0“ color TFT-LCD screen with an integrated zoom up to 4X. The camera uses a focus free lens of 6.95mm, F3.3 with a focus range of 60cm~100cm(Macro), 100cm~infinty (Normal) on land and 45cm~75cm(Macro), 75~infinty(Normal) underwater. This water proof camera can resist water up to 30 ft and supports a resolution up to 2816 x 2112 pixels. In addition, the camera also provides a 16MB flash memory for storage and supports SD cards up to 2 GB.
