
D-Link today released two new network webcams for the mass market which is known as the D-Link Network Camera DCS-1100 and the DCS-1130. These cameras can be accessed from any browser by going to the D-Link mydlink.com portal via WiFi connectivity. They can also be used to stream live video to cellphones, with sound from the integrated microphone and remote control of 16x digital zoom and motion detection. The D-Link DCS-1100 is now available for $179.99, meanwhile the DCS-1130 will be released at the end of June 2009 for $219.99. [Image-acquire]

The Tandberg PrecisionHD webcam offers HD (720p) capabilities with autofocus. The camera also comes with a noise canceling microphone. Remember that you should have a super fast internet connection to use HD quality webcam. The 720p audio/video stream requires 1.5Mbps upload speed. Here is the 3D webcam from Minoru, which offers stereoscopic effect videos and photos in 3D. The Minoru 3D Webcam is compatible with a range of Instant Messaging programs including Microsoft Windows Live Messenger, Skype, Yahoo Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger. Microsoft will be dropping two new cams called the VX-5000 and VX-500 LifeCams. Both cams feature VGA resolution and go well with Windows Live Messenger. Microsoft is also releasing a headset called the LifeChat LX-2000. The VX-5000 will be available in June for $49.95 and the VX-500 and LX-2000 will hit shelves this month for $16.95 and $29.95. HP will be dropping the new Elite Auto Focus Webcam which is compatible with most PC-based video chat programs such as (Yahoo, Skype, MS Messenger, AIM), and comes with USB 2.0, a 3 megapixel CMOS camera capable of shooting video ranging from 640 x 480 pixels at 30fps with a quality of 1,600 x 1,200 at 5fps, a built-in stereo microphone, face tracking and Magic-i video effects software, 3 programmable buttons, and a sliding “privacy cover”.
